Break The Horizon

by MirrorMaze

/
  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

Break the Horizon" is the new album by the band MirrorMaze, a progressive metal band from Italy born in 2009. It's a follow-up to the well received debut "Walkabout", published on 2012-05-28 by Bakerteam/Scarlet Records and featuring the legendary Ray Alder from Fates Warning on the single "Deeper Signs".

After some gigs in 2012 and 2013 supporting "Walkabout" it was the time for the band to tackle a major task: perform at the 2Days+1 Prog Festival in Veruno (Italy) before the like of Neal Morse Band and Haken. So things went down to the decision to use the entire 30 min. opening slot to play for the first time just one new song, the sci-fi inspired "Crystal" trilogy. After the success of the performance (replicated the same year opening for Andromeda in November) the band took the entire 2014 to properly record the trilogy but after another song was completed ("The Poet") they continued writing to complete a full album. New powerful songs like "Hammer Training" and "Worn and Torn" were added, beside mellower ones like Breathe/Breathe Again.

"Break the Horizon" encompasses every possible progressive rock nuances, from hard hitting metal to technical stuff to deep and melodic tunes. MirrorMaze are eager and ready to perform this new masterpiece all over the world.

Afte some warm-up show in 2015, 2016 starts with some new gigs and a mini-tour supporting phenomenal french proggers Lazuli.
